So you might have seen this view of the keys a thousand times before.  But there’s nothing like seeing it on the desktop of your computer right above the keyboard you shouldn’t be typing on as a reminder of which keyboard you should be messing around with.

Piano Guts Like You Might Have Seen Them Before

Okay, so this one’s pretty self-explanatory.  There’s the strings.  There’s the compartments.  Then there’s more strings.  But how it all makes such a pretty noise is still a mystery to me.

Yep, that's me playing the most basic chord ever - the C Chord.

Nothing makes a piano pic more personal than, well, a person playing it.  I took this one with my left hand on the keys and my right hand on the camera.  Not that you can tell that just from the picture, but, now you know.

Ear-piercing sound, comin' atcha!

At first glance, this photo almost doesn’t look like it was taken from a piano.  It looks more or less like a never-ending string of, well, strings.  But with closer inspection, you can make out the  crosshairs of the tinier keys’ strings, and come to the conclusion that this is none other than the guts of a high-class Yamaha baby grand piano.

Golden Piano Symphony of Light

When I snapped this photo, I was working on getting a sort of vertical panorama inside the baby grand piano.  As it turned out, the light hit the strings just perfectly as it reflected off of the wooden body beneath it, making this photograph my absolute favorite. Little did I know it would become my best-selling photograph!

Nothing says beautiful like piano keys with their own reflection

This picture has been taken a thousand times, yet it never looks the same twice.  Here I used a sort of bluish filter, giving the piano keys a very Rhapsody in Blue feeling.
